The Law introduces amendments to the effective legislation on improvement of legal regulation of breeding in livestock farming. In particular, executive power bodies´ functions, their authority, organization and conduction of the registration system on selection achievements are specified in the bill.
Pursuant to the Law, "state registration of the breed and under control animals is effected through the amendments to the state books of breed animals, subjects of the breeding -to the State register of breeding subjects in livestock farming.
The term "pedigree animal" is defined in the following way: "purebred registered in the state registers of pedigree animals that possesses genetic value and can be used in selection process according to the effective selection programs."
The Law introduces new terms "approbation" and "appraising." Adoption of the Law would increase the genetic potential and farm livestock productivity level are basic for the livestock farming sphere.
